We recently went wine tasting and discovered the coolest new wine gadget. An Aerator. It adds air to the wine, so it's basically decanting it, but instantly. I wasn't a believer until at the winery we were given a taste of a red wine before it went through the aerator, and then after. The difference was incredible. So, I decided I was going to get this for Ryan for his birthday. But they had just released the same thing, only engineered for white wines. I had to get both!! So I did. We tried it last night. It was amazing the difference in both the reds and the whites. These are the greatest wine accessory, besides a cork screw!! I would recommend the investment in one of these to any avid wine drinker.

Chocolate for Breakfast?

I am not much of a cereal fan. I only like 3 or so, and I rarely eat it. Last night when grocery shopping I wandered down the cereal aisle. Much to my surprise, I stopped. I saw the Special K Chocolatey Delight. Hmm....I had been wondering about this cereal. So I bought it. And tried it. And loved it. I am hooked. One bowl wasn't enough...besides the stomach ache from the milk. If you like chocolate, you may like this. A simple crunchy cereal with just the right amount of chocolate in each bite.
Yummy.

Sweet Tomatoes: Friend or Foe?

I had lunch today at Sweet Tomatoes. I thought, well, salad is easy enough to be healthy with right? Wrong. Well, for me at least. Ryan and I are doing Weight Watchers, so I was trying to be within my allowed points for the day, which are not too many. I piled my plate with veggies, lettuce and a dab of dressing. Ok, doing good. Grabbed a half cup of Caesar Salad and their Wonton Goodness. I added two small bread stick like things, and maybe a cup of pasta then sat down to eat. Noticing the fat free frozen yogurt I grabbed a small bowl, maybe a half a cup. So, not too bad, so I thought. When I looked at the nutrition facts, I racked up almost 30 points!! That is more than my allowed amount in a day. The Caesar Salad, for one cup is 270 Calories. That is one cup full. I was shocked to find out just high in points, fat and calories some of their selections were. I didn't even touch their soups. or their breads! So for me, Sweet Tomatoes, Salad Bar extravaganza is definitely a foe. That is unless I only eat vegetables...
